If you were on the hunt for AG1 competitors, you'd discover a multitude. Some are attempting their own spin, while others are blatantly replicating everything AG1 has trailblazed: the product, the branding, and the strategy.
It appears that green, scientifically-backed, and sophisticated brands are thriving particularly well. AG1, valued at $1.2B in 2022 (presumably worth more now), faces stiff competition from Seed Health, which is pursuing a sale at $1B, hot on AG1's trail

Our Digital Experience (DXP) consultant Daan Spangenberg went on a quest.
He acted as a mystery shopper and tested AG1s product, digital experience, and analysed the overall strategy.
AG1 is an amazing case study about the power of PR, influencer marketing, and impeccable UX & UI in e-commerce. It’s also a genius brand that invented its own niche.
AG1 is an amazing case study about the power of PR, influencer marketing, and impeccable UX & UI in e-commerce. It’s also a genius brand that invented its own niche.
That being said, some of Daan’s findings were quite surprising. For example, the company does not have an automated invoicing system (at least in Europe). Our educated guess is that the very smooth and polished AG1’s frontstage might hide a bit fractioned backstage. And, although Daan admitted feeling better after a week of AG1 experience, there were some drawbacks in post-purchase interactions. Find out more in the worksheet and the video.
